Abstract & Abstract Expressionist Artists:

Abstract Expressionists are Artists who create expressively and intuitively; their work is predominantly non- objective. Jackson Pollack is an example of an artist who creates abstract expressionism.

Pop Artists:

Artists creating work in the style of pop art. Andy Warhol is an example of a pop artist.

Digital Artists:

These artists are using the computer and software like Photoshop and Illustrator as the tools to create their incredible visual imagery.

Outsider Artists:

The artists I link to in this category are perhaps not outsider artists as defined by the purists’ sense of the word, but they are self-taught, “Raw” artists or artists without formal training. Art Brut.

Folk Artists:

Artists creating charming work in the folk art style.


Realism & Realistic Artists:

The artists in this category work hard to capture a scene as it looks to them. Subject matter includes still life, Landscape, seascape, florals and botanicals, etc.

Impressionist Artists:

The artists in this category will give you an “impression” of the world through their eyes. Their work will not usually appear to be totally true-to-life, but will be artistically rendered and the subject matter will be readily identifiable to the viewer. Claude Monet is an example of an Impressionist artist.

Conceptual Artists:

The artists in this category create art that conveys a concept in a unique, unusual and refreshing way.

Collage and Mixed Media Artists:

Artists who create in a variety of media: Collages, assemblage art, altered art, etc.




Sculptors:

Artists who create sculpture using stone, plaster, ceramics, wood, metal, etc. Rodin is an example of a sculptor.
