Travel

Hi there! I’m Amy. If you’re new here, it’s nice to “meet” you. If you’re an old friend, it’s nice to see you again. Welcome to my travel pages.

Friends, please forgive the mess on this page! I am working on rebuilding my website after a partially successful but partially unsuccessful migration from a different web host. This site has been on the internet since 2005. It had a LOT of content on it. Putting it all back the way it was is going to take awhile. I apologize for the missing photos and broken links.

Where do you dream of traveling to? Which destinations are on your travel bucket list? Are you interested in finding more information about them?

If your dream destinations include cities in southern or central California, or any of the ports along the Mediterranean Sea, it’s possible that you could find the information you’re seeking right here on my website. I invite you to check out my travel guides, which are linked below.

It’s also possible that you might enjoy simply browsing through my travel pages. Perhaps you’ll stumble onto an interesting destination to add to your bucket list of must-visit destinations. My husband, Mike, and I have been to bunches of fascinating places that aren’t all that well known with the traveling public.

That was possible because we spent about 5 years living aboard sailboats as cruising sailors. Our greatest claim to fame so far: We crossed the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea together in a 34-foot sailboat — which was quite an adventure.

All together, we spent about 3 years exploring the Mediterranean.

Before we made our Atlantic crossing, we cruised the California Coast aboard a 24-foot vintage wooden sailboat. We spent bunches of time out at the Channel Islands, at Catalina Island, and in popular ports like Santa Barbara.
